1996 Building Innovation for Home Ownership Project of the National
Partners in Home Ownership of the United States Department of Housing
and Urban Development. The project was selected for award and
recognition.
1995 Maryland Affordable Housing Competition Award from the Maryland
Secretary of the Department of Housing and Community Development.
Awarded commission for seven house Charles County portion to encourage
innovative designs for improvement of affordable housing.
Peace Garden at Haines Point
Competition entry selected for exhibit in Monuments & Memory at
National Building Museum 29 September 2001 thru 27 January 2002.
Wagner Residence
1995 Preservation Award from Montgomery Preservation Inc. for the
renovation and addition to their house. The house is a Sears Roebuck
Crescent house in Brookmont. Project designed and completed with

Second place in an invited competition in l985 for a proposed school in
Germantown, Md.; Ralph Bennett Architects was Associated Architect with
Eugene Delmar, FAIA.
Louis W. Foxwell, Sr. Memorial Community
This 185 unit housing project for the Deaf was given an Award of Merit
in l984 by the Maryland Governor's Committee on the employment of the
Handicapped for the design features provided for the tenants.
Lake Seneca Elementary School
First Prize in a 1983 invited design competition for the first new
Montgomery County Elementary School in nine years. Ralph Bennett was
Associated Architect with Grimm and Parker, Architects, with special
responsibility for energy related design features including classroom
lighting and demonstration facilities.
First Prize for all Building Types in EnComp '84, a competition
sponsored by Maryland and Virginia utilities and engineering societies.

Second prize among 16 entries in a development competition for 48 units
of passively solar heated family row houses in Potomac, Maryland
